Here in DFW it’s Spring Break children are all over outside at our Apartment. My sister brought my niece Lilya and my Nephew Jason over. They couldn’t find anything to do. I handed them a stack of books to read.
quickly because there favorite book. They even wanted to bring my copy home with them. Charlie told them no, because he wanted to share the book with his Grandmother Sherry so she can purchase a copy of the book for my Grandson and also Alex my Niece’s children.
After seeing the Tumbleweed in the book the kids want to take a Road Trip to see if we can find a Tumbleweed. If we were #Homeschooling still this would have been a amazing #FieldTrip because we could have studied #farms.
My family enjoyed the adventures the Tumbleweed went on when the Wind blew him through Town including into a Cow. Tumbleweed wanted to be friends but the Cow didn’t. Bump into a Hirse goes Tumbleweed. Can you guess what happens next?
Do they become friends you can only find out if you pick up a copy of the book. OMG into a Snack the Tumbleweed rolls. I wouldn’t liked rolling into a Snack and would have ran away screaming. Can you guess what Tumbleweed did and why
To find out who Tumbleweed rolls into next you will need to pick up a copy of The Carefree Tumbleweed. Do you think Tumbleweed ever makes a friend if so with which Animal? Before you ask me what happened I’m not going to tell you.
You need to pick up a copy of The Carefree Tumbleweed and share it with all the children in your lives and before you ask adults will also enjoy the story. I believe this book is for younger elementary students. Copies of the book should be in all School Libraries.

Uplifting Story of Friend-Seeking Tumbleweed Ideal for Children’s Wish Lists
PRINCETON, Texas, Jan. 17, 2025 — Children’s book Author Kim Pollock McGrath weaves her love of Nature and talent for writing jingles into a delightful, interactive tale about a Tumbleweed rolling across the Countryside looking for a friend in her book The Carefree Tumbleweed.
“I was a first-grade teacher for 29 years,” McGrath explained. “I wrote my own jingles, songs and stories to be included in my lessons. My favorite part of the day was story time!”
In The Carefree Tumbleweed, McGrath brings her story to life using playful rhymes coupled with a rhythmic chorus that encourages kids to sing along.
When readers meet Little Tumbleweed, he is so excited to start his journey. He doesn’t care who he meets or what he sees, as long as he’s rollin’ free with the breeze. He meets different Animals in different habitats — and they don’t want anything to do with him. So he keeps rollin’, rollin’, rollin until he meets that one special friend.
With colorful illustrations by Kailyn Palmer, The Carefree Tumbleweed is ideal for children ages 3-10 and will keep young minds entertained as they learn about Little Tumbleweed’s adventure from beginning to end with his new, happy, carefree friend!
