This is a review for The Big, Fun Kids Baking Book which I was sent a copy of in exchange for the review.
In Homeschool Charlie is taking a Home Economics Class which includes Cooking. I knew in this class we would need a recipe book to use. As soon as I heard of The Big, Fun Kids Baking Book I knew this book would be the perfect addition to our classroom.
Not only that as I browsed through the Cookbook I knew The Big, Fun Kids Baking Book would be a perfect Christmas Gift for my sister Debbie to use with my niece Lily and my nephew Jason.
I love how in the index it give us pictures of what is on each page with the name of the Dessert so children who haven’t learned to read can still pick out what they would like to make.
Charlie’s favorite section is called Just for Fun and in this section is Decorated Doughnuts which Charlie and I will make for our Back to School Party.
I love how throughout the book they include tips which Charlie and I can use in Homeschooling and share with our friends and family. Or we could create a game using the Tips and stump our family and friends.
Charlie and I will be going grocery shopping this week to create Doughnuts like the ones in the book and create our own as well. In this Cooking Class were going to do a Bake Off like on Food Network and have David choose his favorite Doughnuts. Would you like to be one of the Judges?
David is most interested in the section called fake-out cakes and if you want to know the truth so are Charlie and I. I can’t wait to see what they are and to see if Charlie and I can come up with our onw fake-out cakes. Would you like to make your own fake-out cake?
I can’t wait until David’s next Birthday because I want to make him the Chili Dog Cake which you will find inside The Big, Fun Kids Baking Book and if you know someone who likes Chili Dogs you should make one as well.
During May its Teachers Appreciation Week and for your children’s teachers you could make the Pencil Cake. Which I think Charlie should make for me because I am his teacher.
One of the features that sets The Big, Fun Kids Baking Book this cookbook apart from other Cookbooks is in the back they’ve included Word Searches, Guessing Games and other games for families to do together.
Charlie and I can use these pages on Fridays for Free Day or Reading Class. Or our Art Class because there is coloring pages included. I also like how there is Pop Test which we can use in our Homeschool Cooking Class.
