Last night David was able to get off early and instead of a normal date night David took me to The Texas Pinners Convention. I received tickets to attend in exchange for this post.
The event was held at Will Rogers Coliseum. David fused a little bit because he thought parking would be outrageous like it was at the last event we went to. We pulled up and it was only $12 making it cheaper than a fast food meal. We went down to the parking Garage and found parking on the street which was easier for me.
We walked into the building and up to check in. I gave them my name and the lady couldn’t find our tickets. David and I began to sweat and we was afraid we wouldn’t get in or we would need to purchase tickets. Then we was told to look under my email and still not there. The whole time I am holding my phone and showing them the email that says where the tickets would be.
Then I ask if it would be under my blog name. Still not there. Were asked to move down to another cashier that might know what to do. I wait for our turn and tell her what is happening. I let her know I have the email and show it to her and she goes oh, she is a influencer and hands me my bands.
The first lady ask her how she knew and she was told she had been given a list. They put our bands on us and tell us to enjoy the event. David and I were lost as they didn’t go over what all the bands covered so we didn’t attend any classes which I really wanted to do. But the LORD had different plans for us.
Charlie was at his grandmothers and we needed to pick him up and David’s knee was hurting and we needed to get through the event quickly because he had to be up at 3am this morning for work. We walk in and walk to the far back walk and start to walk through the event. David and I were there at 4 and it was the perfect time as it wasn’t to busy.
We began to walk and look at the booths and I had so much fun talking to the exhibitors and learning about companies I’d never heard of. As we were walking through it was nice seeing David get excited and recognize some of the companies. We had fun making a list of companies we want to shop at during Christmas.
As a Homeschool Mom, Business Owner and Wife this was HEAVEN for me. I found so many Godwink moments as OPRAH would say. From the pink camper my daughter would have fallen in love with to the Freeze Dried Candle called Bushel and a Peck from a song my grandmother sang to me as a child.
I found new curriculum and virtual cooking classes for Charlie to check out for school As well as a Pet Care business caleld Paw Tree that I used to be a part of Charlie can join. As well as a Usbornne rep as David knows them with there new company name selling books David would like to get his grandson.
There was food samples galore and yes, I was good and didn’t sneak samples. I stayed on my diet so I could have dinner with David later that evening. As we walked through the event and David saw all the hands on events he let me know he would like to come back next year and take some of the classes with me. I hope and PRAY Charlie will come with us as there is so much he could use when he moves into his new home.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to visit the Texas Pinners Convention I hope you do and don’t worry if your not a crafter or your not familiar with Pinterest you will find so many things to see and do that you will never want to leave. If I could have I would have went back this morning. Instead I plan on purchasing tickets for my family and David’s mom next year as I saw people inside on Scooters so she would be able to bring hers and shop with David while Charlie and I attend classes.
