I would like to share a new addition to our Christmas Gift Guide 23: Tennyson’s Big Secret by A.H. Benjamin (Author), Peter Trimarco (Illustrator) which I received a copy of for this review.
Charlie and I sat down this morning to ready Tennyson’s Big Secret and we couldn’t wait to dive into the story to find out what Tennyson’s Big Secret was. In the meantime do you know? Look at the smile on the little boys face. What ever the secret is must make him happy. Did you see the cat and the Rocking Horse which Charlie and I wanted.
I love how the Author teaches us about the little boy who has a button nose. As the story begins the Author ask us questions about Tennyson which he might or might not be able to do. You will have to read the book to find out what the Author ask. At the end of the book what Tennyson can do is reveled and no, I am not going to tell you what it is because you need to read the book and find out for yourself.
What I will tell you is Tennyson’s Big Secret is the perfect book for children of all ages and even adults will enjoy the story. Make sure you take time to check out all the wonderful illustrations and make sure you leave time to discuss the questions the author ask you with your friends and family. Then share why you think Tennyson had a big secret and who might have knew what it was.
About the book:
Tennyson has a BIG secret. He can do a MAGICAL thing. Guessing this quite spectacular, possibly loud, potentially outrageous, or ultimately endearing secret brings the reader to the heart of the latest picture book by renowned UK-based author AH Benjamin. Through simple dialogue and a smattering of outlandish and comical illustrations, this picture-walk, early-reader adventure follows young Tennyson and his highly confused kitten as we await the big reveal.
