We went to David’s mom’s to celebrate David Jr.s Birthday with his parents Leslie and her family. came as well. While there Leslie and I were talking about Elijah.
Elijah had been asking if I had new books for him because I always send novels home to him. Leslie said no, I didn’t have any with me, but I let Leslie know I had books at home Elijah could have if Charlie didn’t want them.
I let Leslie know I would l go through Charlie’s books to see if I could find ones I thought Elijah would enjoy. I found Taxi Ride With Victor published by Sara Trofe and Elsa Klever.
Charlie and I sat down to read Taxi Ride With Victor once we finished reading the book I asked Charlie if he wanted to keep Taxi Ride With Victor and he said no, it would be fine to give Taxi Ride With Victor to Elijah.
I texted Leslie and showed her the cover of Taxi Ride With Victor and pointed Leslie to the novel on Amazon. Leslie finished reading the preview and she let me know Elijah would love having his own copy of Taxi Ride With Victor.
Elijah walked up and asked what we were looking at. Leslie showed Elijah the cover of Taxi Ride With Victor. Elijah asked Charlie to read Taxi Ride With Victor to him.
Once Charlie finished reading the novel Elijah asked Leslie to purchase Taxi Ride With Victor for him I can’t wait until we see them tomorrow to give Taxi Ride With Victor to Elijah.
As well as see what Arts and Crafts projects Charlie comes up with using Taxi Ride With Victor. I better go as I need to create lesson plans for Charlie using Taxi Ride With Victor.
This sci-fi inspired taxi trip will have kids roaring with laughter.
Victor is everyone’s favorite extraterrestrial taxi driver, but he has a big problem. His memory is terrible! He can never remember his way around the galaxy. When he drops off his passengers at the wrong locations, there are some unexpected and hilarious high jinks.
Elsa Klever’s wonderful drawings incorporate every day experiences–like going to the dentist, the library, or the post office–into otherworldly scenes with friendly aliens, talking clouds, grumpy ghosts, and an enormous octopus.
The book offers gentle lessons about friendship and opportunity, and children will want to join Victor again and again on his funny, mixed-up, and carefree rides.
