The Mommies Reviews

This is a review for a new children’s book called Take Care. Take Care is published by Dr. Laura Hamill & Jolene Cramer. I received a copy of Take Care in exchange for this review.

God always knows our needs before we do. This week I was shown if we Pray and believe then the Lord will take care of not only me but my friends and family.

David has been having trouble at work. They haven’t been being treating David fairly. I didn’t know how to help David. Charlie has heard what is happening and he also didn’t know what to say to David he just knew it wasn’t right.

Then my sister Debbie called and asked if I could talk. Debbie told me what was happening at her work. Again, I was quite as I listened. I tried to think of what to say.

I couldn’t come up with any answers. Then the mail was delivered. Charlie asked to open a package that had arrived. Charlie found a children’s novel Take Care inside. I asked Charlie to sit down to read Take Care.

Once Charlie finished reading Take Care Charlie said mom you should read Take Care. Then let Debbie and David read Take Care because I believe the novel might might help them at work.

I was busy working on a project I couldn’t stop. I asked Charlie to read Take Care to me. Before Charlie was half way through I stopped working and just sat in awe as I listened to Take Care and how it enforced being kind.

Later that afternoon I found Charlie in his room coloring. I walked up to see what Charlie was working on. Charlie was making signs with the one rule he learned from Take Care.

I asked Charlie what he was going to do with the signs and he said they were for his dad and his Aunt to take to work. The signs would remind them to take care of themselves and each other.

Later that evening I went for a walk. When I returned Charlie had hung signs all through the house to remind us to take care of yourselves and each other. Along with signs that said Be Kind.

I’m so grateful for Take Care and how Take Care has turned everyone’s attitude around. We can use what we learned from Take Care not only in our personal life but in our Homeschooling classroom.

At school, Louise’s class only has one rule ― “Take care of yourself and each other.” When Louise learns that this simple rule isn’t being followed at her Mom’s work, she wonders why. In this entertaining story, we’re reminded why lists are great, and that sometimes the simplest rules are the hardest to follow.

In ‘Take Care’ Louise ends up teaching her Mom an important lesson. This is a heartwarming, mindful story that reminds us what we learned growing up, because we all forget sometimes.
