A couple weeks ago my sister brought Lily and Jason over to play. After having lunch we headed down to the Pecan Park to play. Debbie was talking to Jason when Lily asked me if I would take her over to see a neighbors Halloween decorations.
I let Debbie know were we were going and asked Jason to come with us. We begin to walk off and I saw Troy my neighbor just standing at the Baseball Diamond. I asked Troy if something was wrong and he said he didn’t want to stay with his brother Bradley because he would hit him.
I asked Jason and Lily if it would be okay if Troy came with us on our walk. Jason and Lily both said yes, and that he could be there brother and they wouldn’t be mean to him. Let me tell you I was so proud of Lily and Jason as this was just supposed to be a Family Event and all that was missing was Charlie but he wanted to stay with his friends.
We walked over to the First House and the kids had a lot of fun posing in front of the decorations. When the front door opened and the neighbor walked out and offered to take pictures of of us all together. Which was the perfect gift for there parents.
Then he asked us to wait a minute and went inside and came back out with Popcorn Balls for the kids. Letting them know it was a Early Halloween present. I can never thank this neighbor enough for his kindness that morning. Then off we went on our adventure through Granny Sherry’s neighborhood.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
