Earlier in the month Sonya Enslow Caudle invited Charlie and I to visit Spooktacular Weekends at Twinstone Ranch in Burleson, Texas. If your not familiar with Burleson its about 20 minutes from Downtown Fort Worth. A perfect day trip for families.
Twinstone Ranch is a hidden gem. As time goes on and your looking for the even you might think you’ve passed the vent many times but let me tell you you didn’t it’s set in the Country. I just wish the owners had signs telling us which way to go and were to park once we arrived.
Once they opened we got out and walked up and Charlie saw the ATV’s which were available for rent. I asked Charlie if he wanted to ride one but he passed because he didn’t have anyone to do this with. Then we ventured into the Barn and purchased tickets for the Corn Maze.
Charlie, Sonya and I lined up and the attendant went over the instructions and let us know it takes about 25 minutes to get through the Maze. I was worried about Charlie and I being in the Maze because we don’t like closed in spaces and not knowing were we are.
But once inside the Maze we began walking and saw decorations throughout. As we talked time went by. We did get stumped a couple times and ended up going out a way we were supposed to but it was okay because we had fun and made it through the Maze.
We walked over to the Animals. Charlie enjoyed seeing them up close. We went inside and checked out the Concessions. As we did we found a couple spaces to take Selfies and rest. I enjoyed meeting the two sisters who was running the event.
This was there first year for the Pumpkin Farm and they were learning. I can’t wait to see what they come up with in the Future. As there is so many possibilities for the Farm including Weddings, Christmas Tree Farms, Wine Tastings and Homeschooling Events.

Twinstone Ranch focuses on outdoor recreational events at our family-owned ranch. Bring the kids to play outdoors, have delicious food, and try the rides.
We are a family-owned ranch in DFW.
Our enclosed arena is a piece of Fort Worth history. Having been used as part of the Fort Worth Will Rogers Memorial, the 8th Barn Arena served the Forth Worth area until it was remodeled in the 1980’s. The previous owner, Mr. Pratt Phillips, moved the arena from Fort Worth onto its final resting place where it still stands today in Burleson. For years, it was used as an event center to hold rodeos and small equestrian competitions. After Mr. Phillips passed away, it was used as a cattle ranch until it was sold to us.
Our idea is to provide a family-oriented, peaceful and relaxing environment along with livestock and all of the great things nature has to offer. We are proud to be farmers and ranchers. Currently we specialize in pasture-raised chicken eggs, milk, cheese, cattle, sheep, pecans and some vegetables.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
