I would like to share Space Care: A Kid’s Guide to Surviving Space By Jennifer Swanson I received a copy of in exchange for this review. Charlie and I will be using Space Care: A Kid’s Guide to Surviving Space as part of our Homeschool Science Class. Would you like to join us as Charlie, and I read the book together? Then were going outside this evening to see the Stars as we camp out on our upstairs balcony.
Your welcome to join us just remember with Charlie and our dogs there isn’t going to be a whole lot of room, but you can stay inside David’s bedroom which is right on the other side of the balcony and plenty of room for you and your sleeping bag and even a chair I believe if you want to sit out and have a cup of Hot Chocolate.
Charlie and I loved the cover of the book and if there hadn’t been writing on the cover of the book, we would have used the picture to decorate our Science room although I could see Charlie taking it for his bedroom as well. when I read the front of the cover to David and it mentioned the Smithsonian David couldn’t wait to dive inside the book. Charlie wanted to know how kids could survive Space.
I couldn’t wait to read Astronaut Megan McArthur’s message and then for Charlie and I to study her in our Homeschool Science Class. Would you like to join us in our Science Class as we study here? The pictures are so beautiful that Charlie and I could have sat all ay long just flipping through the book and discussing them over and over.
I was able to use the book to create spelling list and quizzes for Charlie to answer in our Science class. Charlie, David and I learned so much through this book that we can now teach Science classes to other children. This book is perfect for Elementary students through adult hood although younger children would enjoy the pictures.
About the book:
Have you ever wondered how Astronauts stay healthy in space? What if an Astronaut gets sick on the space station? Does snot run in space? This fascinating photo-illustrated look at space and medicine explores how Scientists and physicians study astronauts in space, how they help keep them safe, and what we’ve learned about the human body through space exploration. Questions from real kids and answers form from astronauts, along with photos from NASA, combine for an out-of-this-world exploration of health.
