Howdy!! How are you? As I was working this morning I knew I need to share a post for the Song of the Day Challenge May 2020 Day 1. The prompt for Day one: A song you like with a colour in the title.
You would think I would have picked out Purple Rain but I knew this would be a song everyone thought of and I wanted to pick a song that would help me stand out.
Last night Charlie and I was talking about music. Charlie mentioned a couple songs Blake Shelton had written including God’s Country as I listened to Charlie.
The song I wanted to share popped into my head but I ended up with two songs which Charlie has always loved even when he was a little baby and he was just beginning to talk he would try and sing these songs.
Jason Aldean Big Green Tractor
“Big Green Tractor” is a song written by Jim Collins and David Lee Murphy and recorded by American Country Music Artist Jason Aldean. The song was released in May 2009 as the second single from Aldean’s 2009 album
Wide Open and as the eighth single of his career.
“Big Green Tractor” became the singer’s third number one hit on the U.S. Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart in September of that year.
Red by Blake Shelton
This was released as the third and final single from Country singer Blake Shelton’s self-titled debut album. Although it was not a hit at the time, it has become one of Shelton’s most commonly-requested tunes in concert, and he considers it his signature song.

If I had to chose I actually would chose Blake’s song Austin and no, it doesn’t fit the challenge but its the song I like. Or God’s Country.
