The Mommies Reviews

Day #9 Song of the Day Challenge: Name A Song That Reminds Us Of Our Teen Years. Remembering times from my Teen years is hard because I don’t remember much from that time of my life I believe I blocked my teen years out because it wasn’t that good of a time for me.

I finally went back to my High School years and yes, David and I was dating then. In the lunchroom was a Juke Box and I would play song everyday that meant something to us as a couple.

One of the songs I would play is Cat Scratch Fever which for some reason I liked and as of now, I don’t listen to this song. But I should play this for Charlie so he can get to know the things David and I enjoyed as a teen.

Elton John, Rod Stewart, Andy Gibb, The Bee Gee’s and the groups Air Supply and Chicago. Or how about the Boss Bruce Springsteen? Or even Elvis was still playing Music.

What song did you like listening to as a Teen and why?

For the disease, see Cat scratch disease.

Cat Scratch Fever” is a rock song by Ted Nugent that appears on the album of the same name. The song is well known for its signature riff, which is a 3-tone minor-key melody harmonized in parallel fourths. In 2009, it was named the 32nd best hard rock song of all time by VH1.[1]

Cat Scratch FeverTed NugentWell I don’t know where they come from
But they sure do come
I hope they comin’ for me
And I don’t know how they do it but they sure do it good
I hope they doin’ it for freeThey give me cat scratch fever
Cat scratch feverThe first time that I got it
I was just ten years old
I got it from some kitty next door
I went and see the Dr. and he gave me the cure
I think I got it some moreThey give me cat scratch fever
Cat scratch feverI got a bad cat scratch fever
Cat scratch feverIt’s nothin’ dangerous I feel no pain
I’ve got to ch-ch-change
You know you got it when you’re going insane
It makes a grown man cryin’ cryin’
Won’t you make my bedI make the pussy purr with the stroke of my hand
They know…
