Welcome to the Day #4 Song of the Day Challenge: A Song That Reminds Me Of Someone I Love. I thought I would share Daddy’s Hands which I sung to my dad on his Birthday and was played at my father’s funeral.
Then I decided I would share Butterfly Kisses. Butterfly Kisses is the song I dedicated to Suzzie at her 16th Birthday party. This was the last song I ever danced with Suzzane to.
Or Perfect Fan which my nephew David M. and his cousin Bubba and Cassie helped David pick out for us to play at Suzzane’s funeral. Perfect Fan still brings me to my knees when I hear this song.
Or I Can Only Imagine which is written by Mercy Me and this is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. We played I Can Only Imagine at Suzzie’s funeral.
Not only that we played I Can Only Imagine at mothers funeral. My dads funeral and my dad from another mother’s funeral. As well as friends and families funerals.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to listen to I Can Only Imagine I would like to ask you to stop what your doing and turn this song on. It’s written by Mercy Me.
Check out the movie I Can Only Imagine which everyone no, matter there age should watch at least one time in there lives. As for my family we will be purchasing the CD and DVD to add to our library.
Butterfly KissesBob CarlisleThere’s two things I know for sure
She was sent here from heaven
And she’s daddy’s little girl
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night
She talks to Jesus, and I close my eyes.
And I thank God for all of the joy in my life
Oh, but most of all, forFor butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer
Stickin’ little white flowers all up in her hair
“Walk beside the pony
Daddy, it’s my first ride”
“I know the cake looks funny
Daddy, but I sure tried”
Oh, with all that I’ve done wrong
I must have done something right
To deserve a hug every morning
And butterfly kisses at nightSweet sixteen today
She’s looking like her mamma
A little more every day
One part woman, the other part girl
To perfume and makeup
From ribbons and curls
Trying her wings out in a great
Big world but I…
