Sometimes you have to just “BELIEVE” and Go!!
This last weekend we knew we needed to go to Oklahoma to see my Uncle as he hadn’t been doing as good as we hopped. After having a Pacemaker put in. And he had Pneumonia. So I told David he could stay home but I was going up no matter what.
So on Friday took off at 11am so we could head up. But someone had other plans for us. As David came home and said he needed to go to Walmart to get a tire fixed. Which was OK as I needed to grab a few things. So the Lord was watching over us. As we paid for the tire and some items we grabbed we needed.
And we headed out the door. And got onto the Freeway to leave. When David asked me if I wanted to eat at Burger King which we do not normally eat at and I said yes, that would be fine. So we stop at Western Center to eat and our card is declined but it just so happened there was a Wells Fargo right around the corner so we stopped and ran into the bank.
While there I asked the Banker to pull up our account as we had some money missing. And I am so glad the Lord was watching out for us. As someone hit our account for $800 that we didn’t authorize. So now we are waiting for it be deposited back into our account.
And we leave to go into the car and it wouldn’t start. So we had to call David’s dad to come and start it. And he charged it and it started right away. But while they was working on it I went on across the street to Whataburger to get David and I something to eat. So we could just hit the Freeway and leave.
But once again the card was declined. And we had just left the bank and opened a new account up and so David had to go back in and get the card checked out. And the Banker had linked it to the wrong account. But even though it kept us from getting on the road as soon as I wanted to I was so glad we found out the card wouldn’t work at there is no Wells Fargo in Oklahoma.
So we get back into the car to leave and I ask David to go down Western Center as there is a Barbeque Restaurant on there but we somehow passed it and I know it was God keeping us safe. As we kept driving and got to the Albertson’s parking lot and the car got hot and we had to stop.
But I know again it was God’s will because David worked on the car and Charlie and I walked over to McDonalds to get some food. And there was a man in there with no money asking for a order of Fries. And I was able to give him one. And still be able to feed my family. And have food left over.
So we ended up going to my sisters and borrowing her car. And I am so glad we did. As we was able to leave on Friday night to get to my dads. And I was able to spend time with him with just my family. As my sister ended up sick and didn’t come up until Friday afternoon. As she had to wait for my nephew.
So we got up Saturday morning and went to the Hospital and was able to talk to my Uncle Chuck and I know he knew my dad and I as he asked us not to leave and to call my Aunt. Which I did. And I am so glad I did as the doctor came in around noon and let us know my Uncle would be passing away soon.
So I called my sister and she hurried on up. And was able to spend a little time with him. But he didn’t know her as he was already almost gone. So at 6:30 I told my family I needed to go and feed my son and we left. And I told Uncle Chuck to not go anywhere and that I would be back.
And once we walked into the room I looked at the monitors and could tell he was worse. So I walked up to the bed and I was like is he ok and my dad says no, he isn’t. So I reached over and told him I loved him and that I was back. And everything would be OK. And he drew his last breath. Just as the nurse walked in. And I looked at my dad and said Uncle Chuck is gone. And the nurse said yes, he is.
So all I can say is “Believe” in the Lord and he will take you where you are supposed to be. As we left yesterday and came home. And we dropped my sister and her car off. And we picked up our car and I told David to come home so we could check on the puppies. Then we would grab something to eat. And come back and unload.
And once again God was watching out for us. Because we got home and stopped at the mailbox and the car wouldn’t start. When our neighbor drove by and stopped to help us. But by the time she backed up our car started and hasn’t given us anymore trouble.
And I Pray it doesn’t as we have to return to Oklahoma for the Funneral and I do not want to have to borrow someones car to get back. If that happens Charlie and I will take a train or bus and David will not be able to come with us. Which will upset my family as they will want him there just as much as Charlie and I.
So Please pray for our family as wait to hear when the Services will be and that our car will get us there and back safely. As we have to have the car for David to get back and forth to work in. As we only have one car at this time. And there is no buses where we live. And cabs are too expensive to try and take. And we haven’t gotten our Bikes yet. And yes, we can and will walk if we need to. But we can not always walk to the places we would need to visit.
So once again Believe in God with all of your Heart and Soul and he will take care of you. Just as he did our family this weekend. Even though our plans did not go smoothly and we could have stayed home. But because I pushed us to keep going forward I was able to see my Uncle and I am so glad I did.
And I will miss you so much Uncle Chuck.
RIP as you will never be forgotten!
And Please give my daughter and mom a hug from me,
