Our family was able to go to another Movie Premier the other night. This time we went to see Shotgun Wedding at Alamo Drafthouse Lake Highlands. My family has been to this Theater in the past. Did you know to get to this theater it’s a little over an hour from our home. Lake Highlands is one of our favorite theaters. For the first time I didn’t even take time to get pictures because by the time we got Shotgun Wedding was starting. We went right into the Theater because I didn’t want to miss any of the movie so we checked in and hurried to our seats.
We found our seats and sat down Charlie let me know he was going to need to eat because he hadn’t earlier. Being able to order from our seats in nice and keeps us from missing any of the movie. Charlie and I looked through the Menu. Charlie was torn between Wings and a Pizza. As usual a Pizza won out.
I was so surprised when Charlie ordered the CARNIVORE 980 Pizza which has 16.5 cal. This Pizza was a lot like a Meat Lovers Pizza which Charlie, and I love. Except this Pizza has Pepperoni, Salami, Smoked Bacon, Pork Sausage, Tillamook Mozzarella Cheese, Parmesan, and home-made Marinara. It was nice to see Charlie embarce this Pizza because there was food on here Charlie hadn’t ever eaten and me either.
If we were at home or a restaurant Charlie would have said no, I don’t want that Pizza because it has Salami and Parmesan. Charlie ate it all before I could even ask for a bite. David heard the word Carnivore had Salami, Charlie let me know the next time we come he would like to have this, Pizza again. Although, we will eat in the Bar/Restaurant so we can all share a couple, Pizzas. Would you like to join us for Movies, Pizza and Popcorn which is more fun with friends.
David reminded me to order a Dr Pepper as well. The drinks come with bottomless refills and so does the Popcorn. I wish you could have seen Charlie’s face when the bowl of Popcorn arrived which was huge. Even though you can get refills we couldn’t have eaten any more Popcorn which comes with just the right amount of Butter. If you haven’t tried there Popcorn, you must and for something fun check out the Truffle Popcorn.
Shotgun Wedding takes place on an Island and no, I didn’t dress up, but we should have. Walking in we were given Leis to wear. David and I put ours on but the party pooper Charlie wouldn’t wear one. I loved the Leis I received which had Purple Flowers. I brought my Leis home and it’s hanging up in my office.
Charlie and I kicked back our chairs, and the movie began. Charlie was so surprised to find out one of the moms from his favorite show was in the movie. David loved seeing Cheech from Cheech and Chong in the movie. I was excited to see Jennifer Lopez,and Josh Duhamel. I just wish Suzzane had been here because she loved Jennifer Lopez almost as much as I do if not more.
Charlie was so intrigued with the storyline that he didn’t get up once to go to the restroom. Telling me Charlie loved the movie. For me I thought of Shotgun Wedding as a romance. Charlie says no, a Comedy. David says a suspenseful thriller. No, matter what you classify Shotgun Wedding as it’s a must-see movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat at all times.
I can’t wait to watch Shotgun Wedding again which will release globally on Prime Video January 27th. Giving me another reason to splurge and purchase Amazon Prime so we can watch Prime Video.
100 minutes | Rated R Yes, as you see the movie is Rated R but Charlie is 15 now so I didn’t mind him watching a rated R movie.
