Good morning, I wanted to share a new book I received with you which is part of Just Read Publicity Tours. The book is called She Reigns by Tarah-Lynn Saint-Elien, scheduled for scheduled for April 5-12. I received a copy of the book in exchange for my thoughts.
The past week I’ve really been having trouble believing in the LORD through things happening not only in my life but my friends lives. I know we need to trust into the Lord who knows our needs even when we don’t. Or we make plans without considering him and he changes our plans on us. Which could be a doo thing more times than not.
As I read through, She Reigns I found myself coming to terms with the gentleman that hit and killed my daughter and my anger slowly went away. No, matter how long its been no, parent should ever have to bury their child for any reason. I went to close the book this afternoon I came to the section on “A Walk With God” Trusting God Enough to Lead Your Way.
Which brought me back to the grief classes I attended after Suzzane passed and they mentioned journaling could help us with our feelings. I went home that night and began to write letters to my daughter through them I could feel her and the LORD. I knew that this book was reminding me its never to late to start journaling and I even purchased journals for both of my friends going through life changing situations.
Which I will drop off at their homes on Easter Sunday with pens, candy and their favorite beverage along with a copy of She Reigns. With a note reminding them to block out the world for 30 minutes a day and spend time with the LORD and themselves. I also asked them when they finished the book to pass it on to someone they thought might need to get into touch with themselves and the Lord.
The this evening I took the time to take a Bubble Bath then I went outside and redid my porch and planted flowers. Then I set up my porch with a small table and chairs and let David and Charlie know this is my personal space. I let Charlie and David know when I’m out on the porch not to bother me until I open the front door to come in. I also reminded them that what is written in my journal is personal and they can’t not ask me about it. If I want to tell them I will let them know.
The nice things is David and Charlie even said they wouldn’t mind having their own journal to share their thoughts in. I let Charlie and David know they should write letters to each other because one day they may not be here. What surprised me the most was they both actually said they would do that.
