As we begin a new school year I have been struggling on what to teach Charlie and when. Finally after many PRAYERS and research I have decided we will try Unschooling.
Unschooling is an informal learning that advocates learner-chosen activities as a primary means for learning. Unschooling is lead by what our children enjoy.
For Charlie we’ll be doing a lot of hands projects. Charlie will be watching YouTube Videos that will teach us how to build projects like Robots or Coding. As well as building Raised Gardens.
If its to hot to go outside Charlie will use Board Games and Puzzles. Or Art Supplies to create art lessons. I knew all of this wouldn’t keep Charlie busy. I needed more classes. I remembered a couple years ago, Charlie wanted to learn how to create Wrestling clothes.
Charlie’s likes have changed and he isn’t into Wrestling. I knew if I asked Charlie to make Wrestling clothes he would fuss. But Charlie is into Basketball and he wants to redecorate his room.
I have decided we will make pillows for Charlie’s bed as well as a blanket. To help us get started and used to sewing I will be using a website called Sew A Softie.
If you would like to have your children take a sewing class to create sewing projects to use in Homeschooling or to make Gifts for the Holidays then you should check out Sew A Softie.
The first project Charlie and I plan on taking on is how to make a pencil pouch. For children who might be afraid to go to school then they could make a felt panda to keep inside there backpack.
