Keeping Christmas Gifts hidden from Charlie and David when they go and get the mall is harder than pulling a tooth. Which is what happened with Sesame Street: Elmo’s Holiday Spectacular: The Nutcracker and Other Tales [DVD] Ben Stiller (Actor), Ryan Dillon (Actor), Joanna Hepworth (Director), & 1 more. I received a copy of the DVD that David opened up the other day for a review. Be watching for a Giveaway coming soon…
I had to tell a slight fib and I hope SANTA understands I told David the DVD was for a giveaway because he wanted to watch it. I said that it was for a giveaway and couldn’t be watched. David looked like a 2 year old with the frown on his face and throw in the pouting he did I thought I was going to have to put David into time-out.
The LORD had different plans for our family. David messed his knee up and was off work for a couple days and stuck upstairs in his room. Thank the LORD for his tv but there isn’t a lot to watch on it. It seemed every time Charlie or I would begin to do something David would call us.
By noon I was at my wits end and had Charlie hook up the VCR/ Blue-Ray player so David could watch movies. I even let David have Sesame Street: Elmo’s Holiday Spectacular: The Nutcracker and Other Tales [DVD]. For the first time all day there was peace and quite in our home as David begin to watch the DVD.
I could hear David laughing out loud. Before I knew what was happening Charlie ended up in David’s bedroom and started watching the movie with David. Then I hear mom come here NOW!! I walk into the bedroom and Charlie couldn’t wait to show me Cookie Monster who was Suzzane’s favorite Sesame Street Character.
Before I knew what was happening I sat down on the bed with David and Charlie and we started the DVD over and all three of us watched the show together. I love how this DVD brings families closer together and allowed me to relieve things we used to do when Charlie was little.
Charlie loved The Nutcracker starring Elmo & Tango and now Charlie says he wouldn’t mind going to see the show in real life which would be a wonderful Homeschool Field Trip. I loved Elmo’s Christmas Countdown with Sheryl Crow one of my favorite singers of all times. Having the countdown will help little children learn to count.
Charlie and I even make a advent countdown calendar for our family in our Homeschool Art Class. David enjoyed Elmo Saves Christmas with Maya Angelou a famous poet I’d seen on Oprah and in a couple shows. Charlie and David weren’t sure who was but will be added to our Homeschool Lessons this year
Charlie’s favorite character was Tango Elmo’s puppy which shouldn’t surprise anyone. The DVD last two hours but it seems to go by in the blink of an eye and I know we will be watching this DVD over and over. Charlie can’t wait to share this movie with his cousins.
