September 25 National Cooking Day #CookingDay

The Mommies Reviews

September 25th was National Cooking Day #CookingDay. Before you ask if we #cooked we did. I had planned on having Chicken & Rice but ended up with this crazy cold. David didn’t want me cooking because he was afraid I would make everyone else sick.

Charlie’s girl friend and yes, you heard me right his girl friend Mikalia offer to make lunch and dinner. Lunch was going to be Chili that needed used. As soon as David head that he decided he wanted Chili Dogs and since we had Fries that needed to be used as well Mikalia decided she wanted to make Chili Fries as well.

Which was fine because that got Chili that needed to be cooked used and kept the Frozen Fries we had from going old. But it didn’t get the Corn on The Cob made nor did it get me my Chicken & Rice but that is okay because we have a extra meal now.

Since I wasn’t feeling well David picked up Jason’s Deli for me and I had a cup of Potato Soup and a Club Sandwich I didn’t ask for but was good. The only think missing from there was my Potato Salad I love. But not purchasing it saved us money which we needed to do for our trip to Hobard, Oklahoma this morning to take Mikalia home.

We all know it can be easy to get in a rut of constantly ordering takeout, heating-up frozen meals, or settling for a dinner of Frozen Dinners or Sandwiches. But if you want to feel truly nourished, nothing beats a home-cooked meal.

Remember its nice to slow down and enjoy the process of preparing your own food and the joy of eating your own cooking is amazing isn’t it? That’s why we’re celebrating National Cooking Day on September 25th.
