Charlie and I had planned on starting school a couple weeks ago but things kept interrupting us. As well as trying to decide if we would put Charlie back into public school.
I would like to let you know our Summer is ending we go back to school for 2020 on Monday August 31st. Have you children begun school or when will they begin> What grade will they be in? Are they in Publich School or Homeschool?
After a come to Jesus meeting with Charlie on Wednesday we will be continuing with Homeschooling. Charlie and I chatted not at a parent or a friend but as a teacher to a student.
After much discussion on what classes Charlie took in public school and what he would like to do here we came up with a schedule we can both live with. For the first time in a while I am so excited for school to begin.
We will have Breakfast at 7 then Charlie will take a quick shower. While Charlie is doing these things I will work and once Charlie is done we will go out ans walk for 230 minutes to help us both wake up and get the wiggles out.
PE: I will be walking daily to get my 10, 000 Steps or riding a Bike with Charlie. Or we will use my Treadmill. Play Basketball together. Or chose YouTube Vidoes and dance around rhe house.
Lunch: Charlie and I will cook lunches and dinner together for Charlie’s cooking class.
Charlie would ride the bus home. If we stick to this schedule we should be finished by noon. That evening before bed Charlie will have to read for 20 minutes a night.
On Tuesday evening it’s Taco and Game Night.
Thursday’s will be Field Trips and we took our first one this week to Dublin, Texas to see the Dr. Pepper Bottling Company but it was closed and we will return soon.
Friday’s we will watch a movie as a Family after having dinner out.
Next week we will be vising Canton, Texas and the largest FLea Market and visiting towns from Fort Worth to Canton. I can’t wait to see where this trip will take us.
As you see these workbooks come in a variety of Grade Levels. Charlie let me know he struggles when it come to writing reports and would need extra help on them.
I asked Charlie what grade he wanted to start with and he said 5th for Math so we could go over things he struggles with. Charlie said 5th grade I also picked out 5th grade reading so we could make sure Charlie was ready for 6th and 7th and be prepared for 8th next year.
