See Inside Space (See Inside Board Books)

The Mommies Reviews

Charlie and I would like to share a children’s book See Inside Space (See Inside Board Books) An Usborne Flap Book we received in exchange for this review.

Homeschooling Charlie allows us to use books of our choice in our classes which is why I am excited to add See Inside Space to our Science class this year. Although Charlie is in High School. See Inside Space is for younger children there is still a lot to learn from the story that Charlie and I didn’t know but found interested.

I like that there are over 50 flaps to open with facts under each one to keep little ones entertained while hearing the story. In the back of the book is a star map booklet. you can pull out for extra learning. The illustrations are amazing, and Charlie had a lot of fun recreating them in our Homeschool Art Class this week.

Charlie thought the cover of the book with the Astronaut on the cover could lead to more stores we can make up in our Homeschool Creative Writing Class. Would you like to join us and create a story of your own? I love how in the front of the book is a contents page so we can find what we want in record time.

Charlie found lots of words he wasn’t sure about we can add to our Spelling list this week. It was so nice to see Charlie being able to read See Inside Space on his own and not struggle a lot. Even David who can’t read a lot could read most of the book on his own showing me younger kids will be able to as well.

I enjoyed seeing the timeline which Charlie and I can study in our science class then we can make our own timeline for different things and use it for Science, Math or Reading. The how do we know page is full of facts that not only Charlie enjoyed learning about but David and I as well. Charlie’s favorite part of the book was learning about The Milky Way.

I enjoyed the section teaching us about Our Solar System and each of the planets and the length of day. length of year and the diameter from one side of the Planet to the other which we can measure in our Math class. Then we had the opportunity to learn about Space Travel. Would you like to come with us? As well as Stargazing which Charlie and I can do this evening. Would you like to join us?
