CHICAGO (Oct. 28, 2020) — The Chicago-based, women-owned company, Scratch Goods, has amassed a cult-like following over the last five years for its natural, affordable skincare and minimalist aesthetic. Heavy face oil or face butter. For your sister who looks to you for advice on the best products: treat her to one of these winter best sellers. The heavy face oil is a nourishing blend of plant-based oils perfect for your winter skincare routine – made with meadowfoam seed oil to calm irritation and jojoba to smooth dry skin.
The face butter is a rich, creamy solid moisturizer meets heavy-duty balm that doesn’t stop at hydration, but melts into pores to brighten, heal and protect ultra-dry skin, perfect for harsh winter winds. Made with mango butter, pearl powder, raw honey and Vitamin E to leave her glowing.
Virtual mask parties
For your college girlfriends, work clique, high school friends and family who you’re not traveling to see this year, or frankly anyone: impress them all by bringing everyone together and hosting a virtual mask party. Launched during the pandemic this past spring and totally unique to Scratch Goods, virtual parties provide that shared, communal experience you’ve been missing these last few months — plus an opportunity to dedicate time to self care. Gather your group and set a date, then Scratch Goods will ship product kits to each participant so you can all mix your mask together in the comfort of your own homes, led by a Scratch Goods team member via Zoom. We recommend booking these parties three weeks in advance; contact party@scratchgoods.com for pricing and availability.

The nipple balm soothes and nourishes chapped and irritated skin with the cleanest, gentlest blend of baby-safe oils and vegan wax. It’s great for nipples sore from breastfeeding, as well as on chapped hands or lips, is totally free from parabens, fragrances, dyes & essential oils and all ingredients are food-grade. Similarly, the baby bum butter is free from any bad stuff to soothe delicate under-diaper skin. Made with zinc oxide, mango butter and bentonite clay. Lastly,
All-over butter
For your mom, aunt or anyone else always on the go: the all-over butters have been a consistent top-seller for a reason. The rich, nourishing solid moisturizer is perfect for on-the-go care for use on extra-thirsty hands, elbows, knees or feet. Made with mango butter and arrowroot, try either the bike a bee honey all-over butter or lavender mint all-over butter.
For an affordable, thoughtful gift for your coworker or boss: you can’t go wrong with an aromatic sugar scrub. Meant to rejuvenate, the scrubs are great for the face or body and leave skin feeling supremely moisturized and baby smooth. Choose from lemon charcoal, lavender mint, coffee —made from local Chicago roaster, Dark Matter — or the seasonal holiday iteration, cocoa mint.
Travel kits
For anyone in your life with wanderlust: the travel kits are also a great affordable option to try out some of the bestsellers. Choose from a matcha, sea or charcoal mask and either light or heavy face oil, plus it comes with tea tree cleansing oil and jasmine skin drink. Perfect for staying fresh and clean no matter where you’re headed.
About Scratch Goods
Scratch Goods began out of a personal need for simple, natural, affordable skincare. What started as a kitchen project and Etsy shop by co-founders and high school friends, Maureen and Elizabeth, launched into a successful full-service brick-and-mortar shop in 2015.
Since then, the pair has expanded their all-natural product line, including launching mask bar, hosting wellness classes, private events and all new virtual experiences.
Their original philosophy for product development remains the same today: food-grade ingredients that are safe enough to eat, fragrance from pure essential oils only, and zero water, eliminating the need for synthetic preservatives.
Scratch Goods is located in Chicago’s Fulton Market neighborhood at 847 W. Randolph and delivers products nationwide through the online shop. Follow on Instagram @scratchgoods.
