David was off last night, and we discussed Charlie remaining at home one more year for school. Then David and I discussed classes Charlie would need to take, and I let David know Charlie would need a Science class.
As I did I let David know that I was willing to read the instructions for experiments and things Charlie could do but he would need to be willing to help Charlie execute the steps.
David said he was willing to do that if its what Charlie needed to move ahead in school. Once we finished talking David mentioned that once a week we could pick up supplies to use in Charlie’s classroom. Then
David and I discussed where we could purchase these items from and I let him know we could get a lot of supplies at the DOLLAR TREE. Or we could visit a store called fiVe BELoW.
David went to bed, and I reminded Charlie he needed to brush his teeth which I shouldn’t have to do as he will be 11 this year. Which means Charlie should be able to get up each morning and brush his teeth without being told to. Then once dinner is over and Charlie is heading to bed, he should know to brush his teeth and do it without being told.
Which never happens, we end up arguing trying to get Charlie to brush his teeth. There are times he gets mad and yells at me, or he says he has brushed his teeth when I know he hasn’t. So this morning when I was online I came across a post called “A TOOTH DECAY EXPERIMENT TO SHOW KIDS WHY BRUSHING TEETH MATTERS.”
The experiment featured on Viva Veltoro and I can’t wait to not only conduct the research with Charlie and David but to share it with my sister so she can do it with my niece and nephew. As well as my stepdaughter to use to teach Elijah to brush his teeth. So as I was thinking about sharing this with my family. I thought you might like to check into it as well. So just click on the link above and it will take you right to the post.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie, and David Cates
