SYRACUSE, New York – (June 9, 2023) – As schools let out for the Summer, many parents will be looking for ways to entertain their kids and keep them learning over the next several months. One way to avoid the dreaded Summer slide is to engage in activities that stimulate the mind while still having fun. WonderWorks Destiny is the perfect place for families to do just that all summer long. Not only are they offering educational activities throughout the summer, but they are kicking things off with discounted tickets for one weekend only.
“A big part of the WonderWorks mission is making learning fun, so we strive to offer activities that engage visitors of all ages. Families can keep the learning going all summer by spending time at WonderWorks!” says Paige Perry, education sales manager at WonderWorks Destiny.
There is no shortage of educational resources at WonderWorks. Guests can access over 100 hands-on exhibits focused on science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM). Guests can also take their visit to the next level with the science scavenger hunt activity booklet. The education team works closely with local teachers to provide grade-level exhibit alignments, ensuring the experiences they’re having at WonderWorks are matching the lessons in the classroom. WonderWorks is a proud partner of community science fairs and events, providing demonstrations, prizes, and more as a way to spread their love of learning.
In addition, WonderWorks hosts numerous internal events throughout the year that provide unique, special offerings for community members. National STEM Day and Winter Break Science Week are great opportunities for guests to get up close and personal with all things STEAM by watching demonstrations, trying their hand at science experiments, hearing from special guest speakers, and much more. Families will not want to miss out on WonderWorks’ exciting Egg Drop competition in the Canyon area of the Destiny USA mall, held during various events throughout the year – including Tykes Tuesdays hosted by the mall each summer.
To usher in Summer break, WonderWorks Destiny is holding a Summer Kickoff Party. From June 23-25, 2023, guests can buy one ticket and get one free in celebration of summer vacation. The deal is valid on all ticket types, excluding the annual pass. To claim the BOGO deal, guests must say the secret password “hello, summer!” when purchasing tickets at the admissions counter. Bring your family and friends to WonderWorks to start your summer on a high note.
“We’re kicking off Summer in CNY with an awesome BOGO deal!” added Jon Cascella, general manager at WonderWorks Destiny. “This promo is available for one weekend only, so you’re not going to want to miss out. Come start your summer with some upside-down fun!”
WonderWorks features an indoor, 70-foot-tall, suspended ropes course, laser tag, a 4D XD motion theater, the Wonder Zones, and more.
