I would like to introduce you to Sam Baker Author of Oscar The Mouse which I received in exchange for a spot in this years Christmas Gift Guide Shopping for: Boys & Girls.
I can’t wait until Christmas Eve to sit down and read Oscar the Mouse with Charlie and to tell Charlie and David about the amazing Author reminding them that no, matter how old you are you can be anything you want to be as long as you don’t give up.
Oscar The Mouse
Oscar the Mouse is a joyful story about a mischievous little mouse, who becomes a little girl’s first pet, and the adventures they share.
Mimi teaches Oscar the importance of inclusion and acceptance, while Oscar helps Mimi overcome her fear of the Boogeyman. Together they have tons of fun and many laughs.
This book was created to make reading fun for young children and “help them engage their imagination and creativity,” says Sam Baker, the 98-year-old author. “Imagination is so important, especially now with COVID 19.”
About:
Acceptance is key for both kids and adults – something that really resonates with Sam Baker, a 98-year old WWII Marine veteran, and children’s author.
The publisher of “Oscar the Mouse” – a picture book with a message about accepting the special things that make you different. Will Mimi, the main character, face her fears and make a new friend? Learn what happens when she explores a new kind of friendship, bringing more joy and laughter to both of their lives?
Oscar the Mouse is Baker’s second book in two years. His first book The Silly Adventures of Petunia and Herman the Worm is a chapter book.
Baker wants children and adults alike to learn how to imagine the world a better place. A place where there is love, harmony, hope, and joy. He makes learning the lesson of love and acceptance a fun and entertaining experience for all of us and gives us a chance to escape the stress of this world and go to a place where differences come to be appreciated and sought after.
