I’ve always loved Romance movies and books and this morning I’m excited to be able to share a new romance book with you called Sacrifices Beyond Kingdoms: (The Sacrifices and Kingdoms Series Book 2) by Patricia D’Arcy Laughlin (Author) that I received a copy for in exchange for this review. Sacrifices Beyond Kingdoms is a Provocative Romance that the Author show us how they are torn between continents and cultures. This book is defiantly for adults because the story is suspenseful, romantic, shocking, intricately woven, tragic, compelling, and adventurous story! This book is the second book in the series and you should defiantly read book one first book, otherwise you may get confused like I did at times.
Sacrifices Beyond Kingdoms can be described as a mix between a steamy romance, suspense, adventure, women’s fiction, and contemporary. Although romance is defiantly at the forefront of this book with a complex love triangle taking center stage. The Author also brings us women’s rights, history, moral conflicts, travel, mental health struggles, complex relationships, and tragic events which is why this book keeps us on the edge of our seats at all times.
Sacrifices Beyond Kingdoms can be a heavy read at times, but the way the author presents and discusses the heavy content didn’t make the book drag along The incredible vivid imagery, in the story allows us to travel at times and the Author makes us feel like we were in the Alpine Peaks and then in the Caribbean Islands. 500 pages
When King Michael spots Elizabeth and her children at his coronation, he’s determined to get answers. All it takes is one look at her baby son to see familiar features. The Author have given us 500 pages in Sacrifices Beyond Kingdoms and for most people a book of this size would take people a while to read. As for me once I began to read the story I was able to finish the book in a couple days because I didn’t want to put it down. I can’t wait to share the story with my friends and family.

Patricia D’Arcy Laughlin was born in Trinidad of British and French ancestry. She was educated there and in the UK and the US. She is a world traveler and an award-winning artist, famous for developing her unique stainings on wood. Although she has composed poetry, Sacrifices for Kingdoms is her first novel. She lives in Florida with her husband, and she has three children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
