I would like to share a new addition to our Christmas Gift Guide 24: Damsel In Defense children’s like of books including S.A.F.E. Hearts Book – Chace’s Champion. I received a physical copy of the book in exchange for this review.
I liked finding out the character in the book is named Willow because one of my favorite little girls is named Willow. We also meet her friend Fawn. Willow and Fawn are friends and Willow is going to spend the night with Fawn.
Fawn’s Uncle picks her up and her mom goes over the rules with him including No, COOKIES! Man that stinks doesn’t it? The Uncle changes all the rules which makes everyone laugh. They get to the car and head to Wilow’s home.
Fawn’s little bother Chace tries to play with them. Her mom leaves for work and the Uncle gets on the computer after telling the kids they could have as many Cookies as they wanted. I want a Uncle like that. How about you?
Willow thought Fawn was so lucky because she had a lot of toys and a movie room. The Uncle tells the girls to make a fort in the living room and to stay there because it takes Chace a long time to fall asleep at night.
The Uncle reminds Chace boys and girls don’t sleep together. Willow sneaks upstairs to the restroom where she hears Chace crying. Willow see’s something bad happening in Chace’s room. Fiath reminded Willow to be courageous and to do the right thing. Faith show’s how as Chance get’s older he tries to hurt Willow and quits hanging out with his friends. Willow says her stomach hurts and she wants to go home.
She waits in the restroom for her mom. Her mom ask if they had watched a scary movie. Willow says no, mom I say Uncle Hunter do something bad to Chace. Her mother tells her she didn’t see what she thought she saw because her brother wouldn’t do that.
That isn’t true and if you see something like this happening tell as many people as you can because someone is going to believe you and get that child help. Never give up being brave and helping others no, matter what.
Willow calls her grandma and tells her what she saw. The grandma calls the Police and to see what happens you will need to pick up a copy of Fiath reminded Willow to be courageous and to do the right thing. I like how the Author took the time to introduce us to the members of the Heart Defenders and that she included questions for children to answer. As well as giving us a Badge making us a member of Safe Hearts Club which every child should join.

S.A.F.E. Hearts stands for Sharing Awareness for Family Empowerment. This family education line is designed to help adults and children navigate the most important, yet difficult conversations; to empower children to take ownership over their own hearts and bodies, raise their awareness, and give them the ability to protect themselves against anyone who may try to harm them. This educational line focuses on prevention just as much as it does on healing and restoration.
For Christmas I would like to get S.A.F.E. Hearts Book Bag for Charlie and S.A.F.E. Hearts Book Bag – Damsel Catalog because of the Doggies on the cover which both Charlie and David will want to bring home with us.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
