Good morning, I would like to share a new book called Royal Trivia: Your Guide to the Modern British Royal Family which is published by Rachel Bowie and I received a copy of this book in exchange for this review.
I don’t know about you, but I followed Princess Diana’s life from when she married the Prince to Princess Diana’s untimely death. I can still her Elton John singing for her Funeral. I also remember where I was the night she passed away and how I felt when I heard the news.
Then there was Fergie and I liked her as well, but I didn’t follow her life the way I did Princess Diana. Now there is Kate, and I couldn’t tell you anything about her if I had to and it isn’t because I don’t like her it’s just life has moved on and things I used to follow have changed.
Which makes teaching Charlie about the King and Queens and England hard. But now that I have a copy of Royal Trivia: Your Guide to the Modern British Royal Family both Charlie and I will be able to learn new facts about everyone and led us to new Lesson Plans/ Unit Studies to study in Charlie’s Homeschool Language Arts Class.
I like how the Royal Trivia: Your Guide to the Modern British Royal Family is broken down into Chapters and we don’t have to read the book from front to back but can choose what interests us and start there. For me this was the chapter on Princess Diana. Here is a fun tip for you.
Princess Diana picked out her own Engagement Ring why? If you want to know the answer, then you will need to pick up a copy of Royal Trivia: Your Guide to the Modern British Royal Family and also see if you can find the answer to what was the Queens first Horses name? Then see if you can find what breed of Horse was it?
In the back of the book is a Family Tree and after sharing the Family Tree with Charlie he has decided we should work on our Family Tree which will be a Genealogy Class in our Homeschool, as well as an Art Class and Reading Class. If you haven’t had the opportunity to pick up a copy of Royal Trivia: Your Guide to the Modern British Royal Family I hope you will and that every school will purchase a copy of this book for their school Library.
