I would like to introduce you to a new restaurant in Haltom City, Texas which is called Rocky’s Live. This new restaurant is located on Broadway right around the corner from my sister’s home. Or 10 minutes from my home. Making Rocky’s Live the perfect place for a Girl’s Lunch or early dinner with David.
As night there is live Music and they do have a Bar. So we haven’t been in the evenings as I wasn’t to sure how loud it might get inside as its all open concept. There is a Patio outside and when the Weather cools down Charlie wants to have dinner here.
The first time I came was on a Date Night with David. The hostess was so nice who seated us and we got to chat a little while. I felt like I had found a new friend. As we walked by the bar to be seated the Bartender greeted us and let us know if we needed anything to just ask.
The waitress seated us and asked for our drink orders. David choose a Draft Beer. I asked for a glass of Sweet Tea. The Tea arrived and I took a drink and it was sweet but just not the Tea I am used to. I am not sure if I would order it again or not.
David’s Beer arrived nice and cold. There is a full bar and I was excited to see they had Sangria on the menu. David let me know he would like to invite his parents here for dinner one evening as it wasn’t to full. His parents wouldn’t have trouble getting in with there walkers.
The waitress arrived and I asked her if I should do a Hamburger or Beef Fajitas. She said both were good but the Fajitas was her favorite. I let her know I would like to have the Steak Fajitas which I was able to customize the way I like. Once they arrived and I tasted the Rice I feel in love.
The meat was so tender that it feel apart. There was enough for two meals. The Refried Beans had the perfect amount of Seasoning. David and I both liked the Tortillas which were warm and soft. I could have made a meal out of them and the Rice and been perfectly happy.
- Beef Fajitas$15.99 Carne Asada served sizzling hot on a bed of sauteed Onions and Bell Peppers. Served with Rice and Beans and house made Corn Tortillas.
David ordered the Carne Asada Fries which was Regular or Curly Fries topped with Carne Asada, Nacho Cheese, mixed Cheese, Sour Cream, house made Pico de Gallo and house made Guacamole. I figured by the time David took everything off the Curly Fries which he decided on that there wouldn’t be nothing left.
Which wasn’t the case the plate was so full David wasn’t sure if he would be able to finish the Carne Asada Fries but he did and even said he wouldn’t mind having some Wings. Men you just can’t fill them up. LOL David has been asking the last couple days to bring his mom her for the Carne Asada Fries but with dad not doing well David hasn’t been able to.
I did tell David the next time he is paid we could go and pick up dinner for them. But I think I will pass on eating here because we did come back and bring Charlie who tried the Wings which he liked and David’s Carne Asada Fries but the Fajita’s I ordered weren’t as good as the first time.
They were to Spicy and we didn’t seem to get as much meat this time. Not only that it was like they had changed the Rice and I didn’t like it like I did the first time. But David has asked me to give them another chance which I will But I will order a Hamburger.
Come check out karaoke night every Thursday night!
