Ride (Review)

The Mommies Reviews

I would like to share a new movie with you called Ride which I was given a Screener Review to watch.

If you know me at all you know there is two things I’m obsessed with and that is Cowboys and the Mob. When I grew up I wanted to marry a Cowboy. Two of my favorite all time movies that I watch over and over again is Cowboy Up and 8 Seconds. I live by the Cowboy Motto of Cowboy Up and I’ve taught it to my children.

As soon as I saw the poster for Rife I knew this was a movie I wanted to see. The other night I sat down at the computer and turned on the movie. Next thing I know David is sitting next to me and he is watching the movie with me. I let David know it was set it Stephenville, Texas which is close to use.

The move began and I was drawn in from the beginning. I laughed and I cried. There is violence in the movie and it is rated r which I usually will not watch but this movie was based on the rodeo and there was no, way I wasn’t going to watch the movie. I loved the action and seeing all the Bulls in the movie and watching the Bull riders ride the bulls which kept me on the edge of my seat.

The movie is about a little girl and her battle with Cancer. We see the parents struggling to get the money for treatments she needs and as I watched the movie my heart broke because no, treatments should be so expensive that parents can’t get there children the treatments they need and this is what this family is dealing with.

The brother had just gotten out of Prision and we see his battle with drugs and how they tear a family apart. There is so much more in the movie than the little girls story and I’m not going to tell you what it was because this is a movie you need to see as soon as possible. I can’t wait to watch it again although I was left with lots and lots of questions and so was David.
