Reading Homework Nate Rocks the World (Volume 1)

Reading Homework Nate Rocks the World (Volume 1)

For reading it is required that we read for at least 15 minutes a night. And to record it on our reading log. And last year it was 20 minutes. And since that is what Charlie is used to I have kept it at 20 minutes. As he likes to bounce around during reading and this way he might actually read for 15 minutes.

So last week Charlie was able to go into the School Library and to pick out a book he would like to read. And was told it is his responsibility to take care of them. Which I like as this will help him learn to take care of the books we purchase for him at home.

So Charlie brought home a book called Nate Rocks the World by karen Pokras Toz. So over the weekend we sat down to read some of it and let me tell you I am enjoying it just as much as Charlie is. And when our time is up reading neither of us want to stop reading.

So today if your looking for a fun book for reading make sure you check out Nate Rocks the World which you can find on Amazon.

Then to be sure our children are paying attention to what they are reading I have been printing out worksheets for Charlie to do. And the ones I have gotten Charlie have came from Super Teacher Worksheets.

Ten-year-old Nathan Rockledge cannot catch a break. After all, life as a fourth-grader can be hazardous – what with science projects to deal with and recess football games to avoid. Everyone, including his best friend Tommy, seems to have bad luck when hanging around Nathan. Throw in an older sister who is a royal pain, a dad who is stuck in the past, and a mom who keeps trying to poison him with her awful cooking, and poor Nathan’s life as a fourth-grader appears to be completely doomed. Armed only with his sketchpad, his imagination, and his wits, Nathan Rockledge navigates the perils of the fourth grade in style, to emerge heroic, as Nate Rocks, proving that even a ten-year-old can accomplish great things.

Thank you,
