I was given tickets to attend.
Charlie like any teenager can be finicky when asked to go somewhere with his parents. Which leads to David and I doing more things on our own. Which is what I thought might happen with Pumpkin Nights but I did get a ticket for Charlie and my sister Debbie who had been wanting to go back as she had been there in the past with me.
The evening we were to attend I had David call and ask Debbie is she wanted to go with us. She said yes, and David let her know what time to come over. As its about 45 minutes from our home and we needed to leave early to avoid traffic and to get inside the event.
David began to get dressed as I was already ready. Charlie came downstairs and asked what David was doing. I said were getting ready to leave because I have a event this evening. You have a Pizza in the Ice Box if you get hungry. Then I went outside to wait for Debbie.
I heard Charlie ask David were we was going and David said Pumpkin Nights and we will be home between 8 and 9. Charlie said what is that and I had the website pulled up on my computer because I had shown David where we was going. David said come look and Charlie said oh, I liked that event.
Have fun… David said we thought you wouldn’t want to go because your always fussing when we ask you to go anywhere and Charlie said no, I would go. David said go get dressed because were leaving in 20 minutes. Charlie came outside and asked me if he would be able to come and I said of course you can.
Having a almost 16 year old decide to come to a event with his parents tells he likes it. Once we arrived and parked thanks to the valet parking we had. Charlie couldn’t get out of the car fast enough. We walked in and Charlie began to go look at the displays.
Debbie and I walked up to look at the merchandise the vendors was selling and I am telling you next year I will be bringing extra money to purchase a Coffee Mug or a T Shirt for myself and I wouldn’t be surprised Charlie doesn’t ask for one as well.
We began to walk through the barn and almost went upstairs to the Dance Party but my knee was hurting and I knew if I did it I might not get through the event. We took off walking and let me tell you it doesn’t look liked its that big but it does take a while to get through.
There is so many fun selfie stations that we could have stayed twice as long and still not gotten all the photos I wanted done which will make wonderful Halloween pictures for the invitations were creating for our Halloween Party. Would you like to come?
At each station they had help to take pictures for us which I loved as it would allow us to get our whole family in them. But again Charlie being a teenager doesn’t like pictures so I picked my battles and only had him do special pictures like the Dragon which is mine and Charlie’s favorite.
I love how the displays are broken down into themes and the Owls was mine and my sister’s favorite because of my mom who loved Owls. Charlie and I wish we had brought my niece Lily and my nephew Jason who would have loved playing on the games and digging for Gold.
I was excited to see the Fire Show and thought I had left enough time to get back to it but we still had quite a few sections to get through. I sent David and Charlie over to it. My sister and I finished walking through the Pumpkin displays which was nice as it gave us time to catch up.
We can’t wait to come back next year when we plan on coming early so we can eat dinner here and shop and have plenty of time to see the Fire Show display and were going to bring my niece and nephew. Would you like to come with us? As well as come back for there Christmas event?
At PUMPKIN NIGHTS, you will venture along a half-mile walking path, where you’ll discover the Forbidden City, a Pirate’s Cove, and more fantastical lands built using over 5,000 hand-carved real and artificial pumpkins. The celebration continues with entertainment and games in The Village, our festival area.
