Can you believe Christmas is next month? Were did the year go to? Before we get to busy with the Holidays I wanted to let you know Prairie Lights 2022 is back in Grand Prairie, I’m so excited my family will be attending this event. Which I thought you might like to check it out as well.

PREMIER HOLIDAY LIGHT PARK

Prairie Lights is the premier holiday light park in Texas located at Lynn Creek Park on Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie, Texas. Prairie Lights 2022.

HOLIDAY VILLAGE 2022

 Prairie Lights 2022 will feature Holiday Village. At the halfway point, exit your vehicle to enjoy: Carnival rides, concessions, photos with Santa, the magical walk-thru Forest, and the return of Holiday shopping! The second half of the drive ends with the new and improved light tunnel – the perfect finale to a night you will never forget!

PICK A TIME, SKIP THE LINE

Avoid the General Admission lines with the Pre-Paid Fast Pass, and Enter Prairie Lights through a special entrance!

PRAIRIE LIGHTS PRO TIPS

As we near the busiest days for the event, here are a few Prairie Lights Pro Tips:

  • Arrive early to avoid the long wait. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and some guests line up earlier.
  • Be sure you have a full tank of gas before arriving in line.
  • If you purchase tickets online, please download and screenshot your ticket before entering the park. Cell service can be slower on site. 
  • Attend weekdays after Christmas when the event is less crowded. We are open through 12/31.
  • Purchase a Fast Pass in advance and skip the line.

  • General Admission tickets are valid every day throughout the 2022 season.

JOIN US FOR THE 14TH ANNUAL SNEAK-A-PEEK WALK/STROLL/RUN

About this year’s events:

Be the first to see all new displays at the 2022 Prairie Lights as you run, jog, walk or stroll through the lighted park. November 19 will be dedicated for runners, joggers and fast walkers. November 20 is set aside for those who want to walk and stroll through the lights. Registration is limited each night. 

Families and friends can register as teams and be judged in our festive team competition. There will be a costume contest for those that would like to show off your Holiday Spirit! Those families with little ones can enter the festive stroller competition.

Proceeds from this event benefit all ages that utilize Parks, Arts and Recreation department programs and classes; by providing scholarships to cover program fees for those in need. We thank you for your participation, but more importantly our customers that benefit from this program thank you!

Race Day Information:
Gates open – 5:00 p.m. 
Gates close – 6:00 p.m. 
Race begins – 6:30 p.m. 

  • Packet pick-up will be offered the day of. Please allow time for this process and arrive as early as possible.
  • Concessions will be avaliable for purchase.
  • Dogs are allowed, but mist remain on a leash at all times an will not be permitted inside Prairie Lights Holiday Village tent.

25 Early Registration (September 9 – October 21)*
$35 Late Registration (October 22 – November 18)*
*Participants who register prior to October 18 are ensured a commemorative T-shirt.
