Portillo’s who reunited with Lou Malnati’s to offer the Chi-conic Italian Beef Deep Dish Pizza

The Mommies Reviews

I would like to share what we had for dinner this evening with you. Portillo’s who reunited with Lou Malnati’s to offer the Chi-conic Italian Beef Deep Dish Pizza which we received in exchange for this review. Check out there press release here but don’t visit if your HANGRY….

I don’t know about the children in your lives but my son would eat Pizza 24/7 for 365 days a year. When the Pizza’s was dropped off the other day I wasn’t sure how long they would remain in the freezer before Charlie decided to eat them. Tonight when David got home we needed to run and pick up a Skeleton so I could finish my Halloween decorations.

David asked me what we would have for dinner. I let David know we had the two Pizzas that had been delivered and two Charlie likes as well as a couple Pizza’s David takes for work so we should have Pizza. While I picked up the living room David went and fixed Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria from Portillo’s Italian Beef with Sweet Peppers.

I wasn’t sure David would eat this Pizza because of the Peppers but once it finished cooking David was the first one to dive in. If Charlie and I hadn’t hurried and grabbed a slice I believe David would have eaten it all on his own. The Pizza makes 6 slices and being a Deep Dish Pizza meant 6 slices would be enough for everyone.

I loved the crust which became crispy but not overdone. I wouldn’t mind having just the crust alone. David and I loved the Sauce and Charlie liked the Italian Beef a lot. I was afraid the Sweet Peppers would bother me but they didn’t. We can’t wait to order this Pizza in the future and I think you should try it as well.

About:

Once again available for nationwide shipping through Tastes of Chicago, Italian Beef Deep Dish Pizza features Lou Malnati’s flaky, buttery pizza crust, vine ripened plum tomatoes and Wisconsin mozzarella, topped with Portillo’s slow-roasted, thin-sliced Italian Beef and a choice of Portillo’s homemade sweet peppers or hot giardiniera for a spicy kick.

We also received a second Pizza which is Italian Beef Deep Dish Pizza but on this Pizza is Giardiniera Peppers which are hot. I will not be trying this Pizza as I can’t have spicy foods but Charlie and David can’t wait to try it on David’s next day off. If you would like to join them for lunch your welcome.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
