The iconic Chicago restaurant brand to continue its expansion in the Dallas-Fort Worth market with the opening of a new restaurant in Mansfield in 2024
OAK BROOK, Ill., November 20, 2023 – Following a highly successful opening of three restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth and the announcement of two additional locations in the market, Portillo’s (NASDAQ: PTLO) – the fast-casual restaurant concept known for its menu of unrivaled Chicago-style street food – today announced plans for a sixth location in the Lone Star State in 2024.
“The response we’ve seen since we first entered the DFW market has been incredible. They say ‘everything is bigger in Texas,’ and this rings true when it comes to the love we have and continue to receive from the incredible people in Texas,” says Portillo’s Chief Development Officer Mike Ellis. “We are excited to reach even more fans and future guests by bringing our Chicago-style street food to Mansfield.”
The new Portillo’s restaurant will be located in Mansfield at The Shops at Broad along 287 Freeway & E Broad St., about 30 miles southwest of downtown Dallas and 20 miles southeast of Fort Worth. Designed with a Southwest garage theme, the 8,433 square-foot restaurant will feature seating for more than 170 guests inside as well as a seasonal outdoor patio with room for about 50 more guests. It will also feature the brand’s Pick-Up shelves and its signature double drive-thru lanes to accommodate off-premise guests.

When the new restaurant opens for business in 2024, guests can expect to enjoy Portillo’s signature menu items like Chicago-Style Hot Dogs, Famous Italian Beef Sandwiches, Char-Grilled Burgers and Portillo’s Famous Chocolate Cake.
