Play Together: Games & Activities for the Whole Family to Boost Creativity, Connection & Mindfulness by Laura Haver

Adult Book Recomendations The Mommies Reviews

I would like to share a new parenting or self-help book that is so much more than that especially for parents Homeschooling. I received a copy of Play Together: Games & Activities for the Whole Family to Boost Creativity, Connection & Mindfulness by Laura Haver in exchange for this review. Thank the LORD as it will give me many out of the box ways to get Charlie to do his classwork.

Homeschooling a High School student takes a lot of patience and thinking outside the box as they want to be on their games. Or if there like Charlie sleep all day and stay up all night which doesn’t work for parents trying to teach them. Which is why more and more I’ve been researching for ways to teach Charlie using out of the box methods.

I love how the author included a introduction for play which we will be printing out to hang in our pe closet. There is a letter to adults and to children in the book. Having the game and what we will need to play them will help me stock our pe closet and most of the games can be played in our parking lot at the apartment with just David, Charlie and I.

On the days when it is to cold to go outside there is even games we can play inside bringing our family closer together and getting us off the electronics. Which is a Godsend. For Art Class there is Paper Flower Bouquets which will make nice gifts. Foe Music Class Charlie and I can do DJ Art which I hadn’t ever heard of. Have you?

For Creative Writing we can do Write & Sharre Your Story. Another teaching moment is recycling when you will be saving your toilet paper rolls for Toilet Paper Roll Racers. Math Class we can play Hopscotch Math. You can take a Homeschool Field Trip to a Thrift or Vintage Store or clean out your closets and attics for when you want to play dress-up.
