Carrie Shapley has taken the time to take the guesswork and “stresswork” out of planning and preparing the perfect party menu in her new cookbook Party On!: 10 Pescatarian Finger Food Feasts From Around the World. If your like me you wouldn’t know where to begin when planning and preparing a party menu.
Thanks to Carrie Shapley and her new cookbook, Party On! 10 Pescatarian Finger Food Feasts from Around the World, she delivers curated recipes a beginner cook to a Chef can use when planning there parties.
My favorite part of Party On!: 10 Pescatarian Finger Food Feasts From Around the World is how Carrie Shapley has organized the cookbook into 10 chapters, from 10 different Countries. Charlie and I could have studied in our #Homeschool Cooking Class. David and Charlie was excited to find out there is 10 finger food feasts.
My family has decided we can use the “10 finger food feasts” during our movie nights year round. Would you like to join us for our next movie night when we have Buffalo Chik’n Dip from the U.S.A.. If my family had been #Homeschooling we would have studied the U.S.A. and found movies made in the US and decorated our home using decorations celebrating the U.S.A.
To make dinner family-friendly we can have our families help us prepare dinner using the recipes inside the Cookbook. I love how the Author has taken the time to tell us how to use the cookbook and how she has organized the cookbook and how to modify recipes used in the cookbook bringing us many teaching moments.
David, Charlie and I also can’t wait to dive into the Mexico section of the Cookbook although David also wants to check out Greece while Charlie and I want to five into Italy. We also liked having Counties like India and the Ukraine because we’ve never had food from here and now we can.
The recipes in each chapter are organized from easiest and fastest to hardest and longest. I like how each chapter start with a party pre countdown do we will always be prepared before we begin cooking the recipes in the cookbook.
The pictures in Party On!: 10 Pescatarian Finger Food Feasts From Around the World are going to make you hungry or at least they did my family. Now if you will excuse me Charlie and I are going to make Mini Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza’s for dinner this evening. Would you like to join us?

Shapley compiled mouth-watering menus from Brazil, China, Ethiopia, France, Greece, India, Italy, Mexico, Ukraine, and the United States. While she loves every recipe in her book, Shapley is especially fond of her French Beurre Blanc Deviled Eggs, Indian Curried Shrimp, and Mini Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizzas.
Shapley recognizes the challenges of hosting events. “Everyone who loves to entertain struggles with three things: how much food to make, how to pull together a good menu, and how to get all the dishes made and ready at the same time,” Shapley said.
Those challenges were the guideposts she followed as she created party plans that center on a nutritionally balanced menu for a set number of guests (from 12-30), accompanied by a party-prep countdown that ensures everything will be ready on time.
Shapley is immensely proud of the edible world tour she has created in Party On! 10 Pescatarian Finger Food Feasts from Around the World. She hopes her easy-to-follow recipes will inspire cooks of all skill levels to prepare and host a variety of parties this year. Her delectable menus are a perfect way to impress guests, stress less, and have everyone talking about your next food feast.
