OUTPOST 36 Texas BBQ – The Mommies Reviews

David and I decided to go out to dinner the other night without the boys. David asked me to choose what I wanted and I said BBQ. David let me know if I wanted a Baked Potato we needed to go back to OUTPOST 36 Texas BBQ which we had been to before because of the name of the Smokers they use. Can you guess what there name is? You will need to visit them and ask.

David and I walked in and I chose the single meat platter and asked for Sliced Brisket and the Sauce comes on the side. Thank the LORD. My sides was hard to choose because there was so many I wanted to check out but I picked the Potato Salad and Macaroni & Cheese because I knew if I didn’t finish it David or Charlie would if we brought leftovers home.

The Brisket was so tender and it wasn’t spicy. I loved how the Brisket melts in our mouth. There was some fat on it but not enough to bother me. Charlie tried the Brisket and David liked it as well as a I did. We cant wait to purchase some for the house for sandwiches. No, not on Hamburger Buns but light or white bread like they serve with our platters.

The Macaroni & Cheese was so tasty and it reminded me of my dads with all the Black Pepper which took me back to my childhood. David and I can’t wait to order this again. I also liked the Potato Salad which was nice and creamy. David refused to try the Potato Salad because of the Onions they use which bothers David.

David choose the Big Ol Baker and David could choose from Brisket, Pulled Pork or Texas Brisket Chili. David choose Chopped Brisket, David let me have a taste of the meat before he added his fixins and I liked it a lot. I can’t wait to try a Chopped Bar B Que Sandwich in the future and I bet you would like it as well.

The Big Ol Baker Potato have made me three meals because I would have had the meat put on the side. The Potato was so big I would have only been able to eat half of it making this the perfect place to have lunch with my girlfriends. Would you like to come with me? The Baked Potato comes with Sour Cream, Cheese and there was enough that I wouldn’t need to ask for extras.

David loved the Pickles and Peppers they had out for us to try. David went to get himself a drink and was surprised to find Cream Soda with Pure Cane Sugar and David was going to be nice and get Root Beer for Charlie because our drinks come with a free refill only that didn’t happen this time because David got another glass of Cream Soda to take to work with him.

I choose Sweet Tea with Un-Sweetened Tea to cut bac on the amount of Sugar I would be getting. The Tea was perfect and not to strong. I wish I had a glass right now. As we ate our dinner the cook or manager I’m not sure who he was stopped by our table and let us know if we needed anything else just to ask.

As we got to talking he let me know they own the Restaurant next door as well and we need to try the Fried Chicken Pot Pie the only one in the World. If your not busy this week and would like to get out of the house lets go have lunch at either of these restaurants and just sit and relax as there is a Party Room and for those of you who like Trivia they do a Triva Night, specials and even have Free Banana Pudding one night and a kids eat free evening.
