I wanted to let you know about a new series I will be starting in the New Year. The new series is called Out and About In Dallas/ Fort Worth, Texas.
The first city I would like to share with you is my hometown of Haltom City, Texas. We are a small suburb located in Fort Worth. If you wish to visit Fort Worth or Dallas, we are just 30 minutes away from either City. It just depends on which way you want to drive. The moto for my hometown is called “A place to call home!”
Haltom City has plenty of restaurants to eat at such as Fuel City or Hoffbrau Steakhouse. I know it will be hard to believe, but Haltom City doesn’t have a Movie Theater or Skating Rink. My Aunt Yvonne used to own the Skating Rink and she sold it, then the new owner shut it down. We do have quite a few parks, there isn’t even a Swimming Pool or Waterpark in Haltom City.
You might ask us what is there to do in Haltom City, and I can tell you the library host a lot of events for us to attend, and so does the Chamber of Commerce. Including an Art Show Haltom City host once a year. Or Christmas on Broadway and our Halloween Event and Little League Sports happening here.
Let me share a fun fact with you we have only one High School in Haltom High School which is called Haltom High and the people who graduate usually move away, but they always seem to return to Haltom City to raise their families here. Most of us still have our friends from High School and are still able to hang out together anytime we want to, and if we need each other we know, we will be there for each other.
