What’s better than Homemade Ice cream? Nothing at all and that is why it made our list of our favorite foods A to Z: Letter I: Ice cream. I will have Vanilla. How about you and why?
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups half-and-half cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients, stirring to dissolve sugar completely. Fill cylinder of ice cream maker no more than two-thirds full; freeze according to manufacturer’s directions. (Refrigerate any remaining mixture until ready to freeze.) Serve immediately or store in covered containers in freezer.
This is a Easy Peasy Recipes and nothing like what my parents used to do. When they used tons of Rock Salt and we would have to turn the crank on the Ice Cream Machine and wait forever and a day for it to be done. Or at least it felt like that.
