Orangetheory Fitness Launches Strength 50: A New Class Designed to Build Lean Muscle Mass, Improve Form and Get Stronger
The brand’s “Long May We Gain” initiative invites consumers across the globe to challenge fitness norms and redefine wellness goals.
Dallas, Texas – September 6, 2023 – Orangetheory Fitness, the leader in heart rate-based interval training, announces new Strength 50 classes designed to help members build lean muscle mass, improve form, and get stronger-both physically and mentally. The new classes are included with an Orangetheory Fitness membership and are intended to be done along with the Orange 60 classes which provide both cardiovascular and strength training to help members meet all physical activity guidelines set by the American College of Sport Medicine. The guidelines are 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity weekly and at least two days of full
body muscle strengthening activities.
The Strength 50 classes will include three floor blocks that help to fight fatigue (endurance), fight force (strength), or increase output (power) with the templates changing daily. Using a variety of equipment throughout the week, templates will focus on either upper body, lower body, or total body training.
As with the Orange 60 classes, in the Strength 50 class each member will have their own weight station and will be led by coaches who are there to foster the group personal training experience. The coaches will lead the class through demonstration, motivation, assist with form and offer options and challenges to customize the class for members around the room. This further enhances the member experience and creates More Life for everyone.
“The importance of strength training cannot be overstated in the pursuit of a balanced fitness routine, and at Orangetheory, we believe in its power to transform not just bodies but lives,” said Scott Brown, vice president of fitness at Orangetheory Fitness. “The Strength 50 class is a testament to Orangetheory’s commitment to offering our members the best holistic workout in the industry, and I’m eager to see the powerful gains that come from embracing this new offering.”
“We are thrilled to introduce our new Strength 50 classes, taking our commitment to helping members become stronger to the next level. These classes, designed to complement our Orange 60 sessions, embody our dedication to providing a well-rounded fitness experience. With the addition of Strength 50, we’re not just helping you meet exercise guidelines – we’re helping you exceed them. Get ready to unlock your full potential and embrace More Life!” – Shane Adams, CEO of Orangetheory Fitness.
Long May We Gain is the campaign behind Strength 50 designed to challenge the idea of working out solely to lose something, and instead celebrate everything we can “gain” with strength training. Orangetheory is deeming September 23rd (National Weightlifting Day) as Orangetheory’s Gain Day where studios will feature Strength 50 classes for members to try.
