I have a question for you this morning. What does your “DESK” say about you and why??
My desk says I should learn how to keep it clean and to organize the items I am working on as I am giving it a headache from everything that I end up stacking on it and never remove. Although it isn’t just me who stacks things on it as both Charlie and David do as well. The sad part is most of the time it isn’t even items for work just things we bring into the home and don’t have anywhere to sit. So it ends up on my desk and I have to move it before I can work.
OFM Announces ‘My Desk Says’ Contest
Furniture manufacturer asks office workers to let their desks speak for themselves
HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — OFM, a leading office and school furniture manufacturer, distributor, and wholesaler, announced today the OFM Announces ‘My Desk Says’ Contest asking office workers to share what their desk says about them. To enter, workers simply post a photo of their desk on Twitter with the handle @OFMINC along with the hashtag #Mydesksays and a brief description of what their desks say about them.
“We love seeing how people actually use their desks and what they say about who they are and how they work,” said Blake Zalcberg, a chief executive officer at OFM. “These kinds of contests also help keep our approach to designing office furniture fresh, and they’re a fun way for employees to share life stories in the workplace.”
The contest will run from Oct. 1 through Nov. 1. on Twitter. OFM will then select three winners in the following categories, each of whom will receive the OFM chair of their choice: 1) The Catch All Desk; 2) The Messiest Desk and; 3) The Most Organized Desk.
Previous OFM contests have asked office workers to share creative ways they keep coworkers from stealing their stapler, what kinds of doodles they draw in long meetings and why they deserved an “office makeover.”
“We spend much of our day at work, and a lot of our time at our desks,” added Zalcberg. “People often think about what their home decorations say about them or how their clothes reflect their personality, but they often overlook one of the biggest parts of their day.”
