As I was getting Charlie ready for school this morning he asked if we could do a Picnic this weekend at the park close to our home. And even though it is October and it should be Winter in Texas it feels like Summer. As it is supposed to be in the 90’s today.
So I told Charlie we could have a picnic. And all I needed to know was what would be want to take to the park with us. As the last time we did a picnic we did lunchables. Which was okay but I like the picnics from when I was a child. And my parents would fix Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. Or Potato Salad my mom would make. And was so good and makes me wish she was here to make some for us.
But Charlie will not eat Fried Chicken or Mashed Potato’s so I might have Charlie make Homemade Chicken Strips for us to take. And some Mac and Cheeses. Because this way he would actually eat.
And we can take our Soccer Ball as well as Baseball and Bat and play some games with Charlie. And hopefully even Football as Charlie has been wanting to learn how to play Tackle Football.
And I just hope we can find some of Charlies friends to take with us to the park. So if David and I end up tired he has other kids to play with. And if I knew Thor Jr. would mind and stay with Charlie I would take him with us to the park as well. But I don’t want to chance that so he will remain at home.
Now since it is October and it should be Winter in Texas can you tell me what it is like where you live at? Is the Weather being crazy or have you had Winter yet?
