November 5 American Football Day #AmericanFootballDay

The Mommies Reviews

November 5th is American Football Day and for those of you #Homeschooling your children I thought you might want a Lesson Plan based on Football. If you’ve created curriculum based on #Football leave me a comment and I will add it to this Lesson Plan.

Football is a family of team sports that involve, to varying degrees, kicking a ball to score a goal. Unqualified, the word football generally means the form of football that is the most popular where the word is used. Sports commonly called football include association football (known as soccer in AustraliaCanadaSouth Africa, the United States, and sometimes in Ireland and New Zealand); Australian rules footballGaelic footballgridiron football (specifically American footballarena football, or Canadian football); International rules footballrugby league football; and rugby union football.[1] These various forms of football share, to varying degrees, common origins and are known as “football codes“.

Visit a Re-sale Store, Costume Shop or Sporting Good Store to purchase clothes and props to use during your performance.

Have your students look up songs about Football and have your students learn one of the songs to perform for your parents.

Write the Lyrics to the song inside your Music Journal and let the kids dress up for there performance. Include a photo or your child dressed up as a Football Star.

Charlie would have been listening to Are You Ready for Some Football by Hank Williams Jr or Charlie would have listened to Waiting All Day for Sunday Night by Faith Hill.

Collect all the paperwork you’ve collected on Football and create a piece of Art Work showcasing Football.

Include a definition and a picture of your Art Work you created in your Art Journal for the Art Show you will be hosting at the end of the year.
