Have you ever waited and waited for a movie to come out and then find out it wasn’t all you expected? Did it turn you off from watching other movies he makes? Or books they write? As I read The Longest Yard and I loved the book and could not put it down. I knew it would be a book I would read again and again. But then I finally took myself to the Movie after waiting and waiting for it to come out.
So I did enjoy the book but it was not like the book at all which did disappoint me a little. But the story line is still good that I plan on purchasing the movies soon. Because I saved it on Charter and was watching it over and over as I thought once I purchased it it was free to watch. But David told me that is not the case. So I had to quit watching it and I was so sad. So Santa would you Please bring me The Longest Ride DVD as I have the book and would not part with it.
The first movie I watched of Nicholas Sparks was the Notebook as I wanted to see it as it was the very last movie Suzzane ever saw and I knew she loved it. So I wanted to she why she liked it so much. Plus it would give me more chance to do something she enjoyed. So I took myself to the movies and I sat and watched and by the times it ended I was hooked. I loved it and knew I would have to buy it. As for reading the book I haven’t as I do not want to take away from the movie. But one day I may purchase it to add to my book collection to pass down to Charlie when he is grown.
It hasn’t been very long ago that I piked up one of Nicholas Sparks Novels and it was Dear John. I read the book first then watched the movie. Both of these I enjoyed a lot and do not think I could pick between the book and the movie as they was both good. But I did notice some differences that made me sit up and saw that didn’t happen in the book.
Then there is A Walk to Remember with Mandy Moore whom Suzzane loved and she watched this movie as well then asked me to watch it with her a second time. Which I did and I loved it it is one of my all time favorite novels. So as time moves on I keep finding more and more of Nichols Sparks movies and books I want to see or read.
So it looks like I have a new Author to follow. Which is nice because the 3 I usually read have no put out any new books so it has been hard for me to find anything new to read. And I am lost without a book as I read every night before I fall asleep. As it helps me relax.
What is your nighttime ritual you would be lost without? How long have you been doing this? Does anyone else do this with you?
