My Bog Book Of Nature Sounds

Children's Book Reviews

Good morning, how are you? I wanted to share a new children’s book with you. This book is called My Big Book Of Nature Sounds by Lucie Brunelliere Twirl books ie Chronicle Books which I received a copy of in exchange for this review.

As you all know I love animals and I don’t mind nature at times depending on the Weather. When I saw My Big Book of Nature Sounds and all the buttons, we had to push I couldn’t wait to sit down and read this new book. Before I do I want to remind you this book takes batteries so check to see if it has one before you give it to a child, or they will be upset if the book doesn’t work.

There is more than 100 sounds which will keep children busy for hours. David is someone who sees a button and has to push them to see what happens. Which is what David did when he saw the book sitting on my desk. Charlie was coming in from outside and heard the noises and came to see what it was.

Before I could even read the book Charlie and David spent a hour trying out all the sounds. Let me tell you they were driving me batty but they were having so much fun I didn’t say anything. Once they sat the book down, I picked up the book and I started to examine the cover. The little girl is so cute. I liked her long hair.

I had fun checking out all the animals from the Frog to the Bird. I turned over the book and there was a cute little Frog. This is where the case to hold the battery is. I read the back cover so I would know what to expect inside the book. As I did Charlie came and sat with me and listened to what I was reading.

I opened the book up to read the story. Charlie and I took turns reading the book together while David and Charlie pushed the buttons. Charlie and I liked seeing the Backyard Birds which we are going to look for in our yard. I hope we can find some of them to study in our Homeschool Classes. Then Charlie and I read about things in the garden which Charlie wants to share with his grandmother.

The next time we go on a walk were going to use the book to create a Scavenger Hunt and use the items they show in our neighborhood to see how many of those items we can find. Would you like to join us? I love how each page showcases a different scene which we can study in our school.

My Big Book of Nature Sounds is made of sturdy paper that will not tear and the book is big enough but not to big for little children to hold. Charlie and I believe this book is for younger children although older children would have fun listening to the sounds of Nature. Even adults who like reading to their children will enjoy this book/
