Moxie Chic Gets in the Giving Mood with Holiday Donation Program

The Mommies Reviews

The NYC-Based Girl Power Brand is donating profits from its tee shirt sales to specific nonprofits addressing  today’s societal and environmental issues.

November 2,  2020 – New York, NY – In an effort to give back this holiday season and create an impactful charitable opportunity for its customers, Moxie Chic, a NYC-based feminist apparel brand that promotes female empowerment, today announced a unique, targeted donation program for the holidays, tailored to address the most pressing issues facing the world today. Certain tee shirt designs were chosen that tie to causes and charities sharing the design’s theme.

Starting in November, 100% of the profits from sales of shirts included in our Holiday Donation Tee Collection will be donated to the following charities in an effort to make a difference for women’s rights, race equity, environmental rights, girls’ education and more.

The shirts featuring the iconic Ruth Bader Ginsburg, will support donations to the ACLU, where she co-founded the Women’s Rights Project, and worked extensively during her career.

The shirts featuring Harriet Tubman, commemorating Juneteenth, and celebrating women of color trailblazers such as Rosa Parks and Michelle Obama will support donations to the NAACP. This organization is on the front lines inof the battle for racial equality.

In an effort to help the environment, the shirts featuring the Strong Roots and Wildflower designs will be donated to Greenpeace, an international non-profit that fights to combat climate change, help forests flourish and restore life to the world’s oceans.

The shirts that feature the credentials and accomplishments of Marie Curie and the sassy tech gaming tee will be donated to Girls Who Code, a non-profit on a mission to close the gender pay gap in science and tech careers.

Lastly, Moxie Chic is committed to giving back in any way that it can. A portion of sales from all other products not mentioned previously will support the Malala Fund, an international, non-profit organization that fights for girls’ education. It was co-founded by Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate, and her father, Ziauddin.

“Moxie Chic is a charity-driven purpose brand, and the holiday season offers the perfect time to prioritize our mission of giving back.” said Jennifer Shurdut-Bab, Founder of Moxie Chic. “We feel that each of these chosen nonprofits are helping to address hot topic concerns facing our society. We are happy to be able to offer our customers the opportunity to give a gift that has an impact and at the same time help raise funds and awareness for respected charities devoted to critical areas of interest in need of support.”

Many of Moxie Chic’s apparel designs include depictions of and references to notable women in history, all of whom worked hard to better lives and strengthen communities, including Marie Curie, Harriet Tubman, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and even “Rosie the Riveter.” Moxie Chic recognizes that more than half of today’s essential workers are women and, as such, recognizes, celebrates and supports their heroic efforts.
