In our hometown on Tuesday Movie Tavern does 5 movies but David always works on Tuesday evenings. Instead, we get up earlier and go to the first movie, when is a Matinée price and cheaper than the tickets we would have to purchase in the evening.
Not only that with Covid on the rise Charlie doesn’t like being around a lot of people and at this time of the morning a lot of time the Theater is almost empty. Assuring us we can get our favorite seats. The snacks are all fresh and the theater is clean.
Last week we went to Movie Tavern in Bedford, Texas so I could see a Journal for Jordan. I like coming to this Theater as everything is on one floor. If Charlie wanted to see a movie on his own, I would be okay because I wouldn’t have to worry about being on the ground floor while he is on the second or third floor.
The movie began and we sunk into the seats that were so comfortable Charlie napped on and off throughout the film. Although, if you ask Charlie, he will say he didn’t sleep and so would David who was also Catnapping. Which is fine because I wasn’t too sure they would enjoy the movie as they like Action Films.
Although as the movie begin, I noticed both of them sitting up straighter in their Chair and they were asking me questions. I kept telling them to be quit and watch to see what was going to happen. As we left the Theater both David and Charlie surprised me when they said they wanted to watch the movie again.
Charlie even asked if I knew if or when A Journal for Jordan would be out on DVD as he wanted to purchase the movie. I let Charlie know I didn’t have a clue, but he could look it up for his Homeschool Report we do each week on Movies we watch.
Then the other day we went into Walmart to pick up a book for me and one for Charlie. While shopping Charlie found A Journal for Jordan: A Story of Love and Honor which he picked up for his reading class. I can’t wait to see how the book matches the movie.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to watch a Journal for Jordan, I hope you take the time to. Just let me warn you you might want to bring along some Kleenex because if you’re like me you will need them. Charlie said to tell you real men don’t cry so don’t worry about the Tissues as you will not need them. Which isn’t true because I saw a tear in David’s eyes and even though Charlie isn’t going to admit it with anyone, I saw him wipe away a tear as well. But we all know teenagers don’t cry. Or do they?
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner and Jennifer Lopex’s new movie coming out I plan on purchasing Gift Cards for everyone. If you’re like me and like to save money, then you will want to check into MAGICAL MOVIE REWARDS and you will earn points and rewards along with fun surprises for seeing movies.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
