Mother’s Day Brunch and Movie Mama Mia! The Movie

My daughter Suzzane was born on Mother’s Day and like me she loved Musicals and I know she would have loved Mama Mia! just as much as I did. With David working on Mother’s Day, I was thinking I might purchase a ticket for myself and go and celebrate Mother’s Day and Suzzane’s Birthday although if my sister Debbie is off, I could take her because her Birthday is May 4th.

Charlie and I love the music in Mama Mia and it has Charlie’s all time favorite song Dancing Queen

If you miss the screening of Mama Mia above or the theater is sold out of tickets, then you can check out Alamo Drafthouse who is hosting ABBA. MERYL. BRUNCH.

Rated PG-13 • Length108 min • Year2008

Order from our tasty brunch menu – Egg BLT, French Toast, or Breakfast Tacos – and pair with a brunch cocktail classic like Desert Spring Water or the Italian 75. Each are available to order along with our full menu at this special brunch screening.

Although, I may wait and go to Alama Drafthouse to celebrate Suzzane’s Birthday and see Dirty Dancing Movie Party which was Suzzane’s favorite movie while I am more Pretty Women. Although, it wouldn’t hurt my feelings to sit in a theater and stare at Patrick Swazey for a couple hours. How about you?

SWAY ALONG WITH SWAYZE AT OUR INTERACTIVE MOVIE PARTY

When DIRTY DANCING came out in 1987, it changed lives. Baby and Johnny showed the world the power of dance, the power of love, and most importantly, the power of a shirtless and swingin’ Patrick Swayze.

This film set the standard not only for dance movies but for romance in general – and more than 30 years later, we still dream of nailing that lift. And here at Alamo Drafthouse, there’s no better place to celebrate Baby and Johnny, where you’re encouraged to quote, sing, and dance along at this Movie Party screening. You’ll also receive themed props, like your own key to the Catskills and a watermelon that you can carry (don’t worry, it’s light!)

So, move like the wind and join us for the time of your life at Kellerman’s, where absolutely no one will be put in a corner.

If Charlie is home, I want to take him to the Back to the Future Movie Party. Just don’t look for me on May 27th because I will be in the Theater watching Top Gun: Maverick who I’ve been waiting to come out forever… For Charlie I can’t wait to take him to Abba: The Movie- Fan Event.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
