When I first begun to blog I knew nothing at all and didn’t even know that much about computers. But I was running a Direct Sales business and joined a community called Nings.
Where we could showcase our businesses through Forums and Virtual Chats. As Nings began to fade out I new I still needed to build a online presence.
I spoke to a friend who had just begun to blog and asked her for help. She let me know she didn’t think I would be able to run a blog because I didn’t know that much about computers.
As I sat in my home I remember bowing my head and Praying to the Lord telling him my needs even though he knew them before I told him.I felt a sense of Peace and went online and researched and started my first blog.
I took as many classes as I could both free and paid. I looked for books I could read that would help me on my journey. One day I was on Facecbook and I had been following Wendy Piersall for a while.
When she announced she had published her book Mom Blogging For Dummies. I was so excited. I called David at work and said I wanted to get this book.
We went to Barnes and Noble that night and picked it up for me. I came home and sat down and read this entire book that night. I begin to do the things she suggested and I actually felt like I could be a blogger.
I learned to make a Media Kit and to work smarter not harder and to hire someone if I didn’t know how to do something. I also learned its okay to invest in our blogs.
I begin to reach out for things I wanted including items to review and I even got to attend a Blogging Conference as a Voulnteer and to take David with me.
Mom Blogging For Mommies has become my Bile and anytime I am asked to help someone start there own blog I give them a copy of this book and assign chapters for them to read then we go over what they learn.
