Metalocalyspe: Army of the Doomstar

Movies

It doesn’t get more metal than this! In just a couple of weeks, on August 22nd, the long-awaited release of the original animated movie – Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar – will be available to own on Digital & Blu-ray! I know Charlie and David are going to be over the moon to hear this. How about you?

Check out the trailer “Church” here:

Charlie found Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar sitting on my desk and was so excited to find the movie which David loves that my thoughts of putting it up for Christmas went out the window. The other night David came home from working and his knee was hurting. David was having trouble standing and walking on his knee and took the next day off.

The next day I set David’s TV up in his room with snacks and handed David Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar. David turned on the DVD and our Bluetooth player and begin to watch the movie. Charlie heard the movie playing and came into David’s room. The next thing I knew Charlie had climbed onto David’s bed and they were watching and discussing the film.

I went downstairs and began to work. But I could hear them talking and before I knew what was happening I ended upstairs as well watching the movie with them. Having Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar allowed us to spend time together as a family without electronics which was a Godsend.

Charlie and David enjoyed the plot to Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar and even thought I didn’t know anything about the show I found I enjoyed it as well. I didn’t have any problem figuring out what was happening and I would watch the DVD again just as Charlie and David would. The suspense keeps us on the edge of our seats and there was special effects we enjoyed.

Charlie could even watch Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar as part of his homeschool music class because it is about a songwriting challenge. In school Charlie can even write his own song after watching the movie and seeing what happened. Saving the Planet will allow us to study Planets in our Homeschool Science class.
